things we hate

i haven't updated since the beginning of summer but i figured since jersey shore came back tonight, my blog return as well.  nothing interesting that i should post on the internet has occurred recently except for our "things we hate" list.  all of the arlington girls have compiled a list of things we hate in a thread.  it's still growing and it is amazing.  less than a month til madrid!  i'm sad this summer is ending, though.  arlington has been treating us very well.  so much to look forward to this year!

tonight i went to vapiano and to the movies with magz and meels.  unfortunately we went to ballston so that was gross and we felt uncomfortable and as if we were back in middle school again.  anyway, we saw Babies.  it was alright but the good/funny parts were pretty much like any baby videos you'd see on youtube.  also, they really needed to pump the brakes on showing breast feeding every five seconds.  too many saggy boobs.  not my cup of tea.  also, WARNING:  popcorn + diet coke + diet coke = $18.50.  there's something i miss about the dirty d.  cheap(er) living.

happy birthday uncle steven

today was uncle steven's birthday.  we went to dinner at filomena's, an italian restaurant in georgetown.  there was a loud obnoxious bunch that kept singing random songs and we got frustrated so when they started singing volare, of course ryan and i had to interject with "boats and hoes."  that was a high point of the night.  also we had our traditional carvel ice cream cake afterward and i also got super domestic and made two pies for the occasion (and because my aunt's brother is also in town).

my dad and brother abandoned me and left me car-less so i just got back from walking to target.  here are some things that occurred:
1. i saw a bird actually eating a worm
2. i got attacked by a dog
3. i realized that rolie polies are the only bugs that don't freak me out.
4. i bought 5 gum, among other things, and it is delicious.  and the package is so sleek.
5. i somehow avoided buying hercules, the princess and the frog, tarzan, and a pack of the 3 austin powers movies plus one other spy movie that i had never heard of.  i was impressed.
now i'm back in my room watching arrested development season 1, still amazed that i finished unpacking.
